Happy Year of the Dragon
Chinese New Year will be celebrated on January 23rd, 2012. We look forward to hearing our “musicians” play instruments and see a “dragon” hand out lucky pockets to everyone. Happy New Year! Pictures of this event will be posted after Chinese New Year
Wishing Well Clothing Drive
From January 23rd to February 3rd, 2012, we will be having a clothing drive. We would like to request to all families to bring in used clothing that they would like to give away.
Ski
Our 6 week ski program starts tomorrow on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012. Pictures of our students on the hills will be posted near the end of the 6 week program.
Book Fair
Thanks to Mrs. McKay (grade 3) and Ms. Waterman (grade 4&5) for the time and energy they put in to organizing and running the Book Fair. It was very well organized and everyone enjoyed it! Some of us even got a head start on our holiday shopping.
Santa Bill’s Visit
Santa Bill took time out of his busy schedule to visit Wishing Well Schools on December 15th, 2011. We were very excited to be able to spend time with Santa and sing him some of the songs we were rehearsing for our Winter Pageant. Even some of our teachers got to make a wish!
Terry Fox Run
The grade 7 student council (and Mr. Cappelletti) organized the Terry Fox Run in September, a dress down day for Breast Cancer Awareness in October, and an all blue dress down day for Movember in the month of November. We also had a Christmas Food Drive in the month of December. Udayveer Sangha (Grade 2), became Principal for a day for bringing in the most cans! The students on the elementary side also had the opportunity to spray Mr. Cappelletti with Ketchup and Mustard! Thanks to everyone who participated in the Christmas food drive.
