Grade 1-5 ACCELERATED JUNIOR PROGRAM
Our Grade 1-5 Physical Education Program at Wishing Well Schools promotes active living, physical literacy, and a lifelong commitment to health and wellness. Through a variety of sports, fitness activities, and cooperative games, students develop strength, coordination, and teamwork skills in a fun and supportive environment. Beyond skill development, we emphasize the importance of a healthy lifestyle, teaching students about physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being. Activities are designed to build confidence, resilience, and sportsmanship, helping students understand the connection between physical activity and mental health. With a balance of structured instruction and free play, our program encourages students to stay active, set personal goals, and develop healthy habits that extend beyond the classroom. By fostering a positive attitude toward movement and exercise, we prepare students for long-term success in sports, fitness, and everyday life.
Grade 6-8 high school preparatory program
Our Grade 6-8 Physical Education Program at Wishing Well Schools prepares students for high school athletics and lifelong fitness by focusing on physical literacy, skill development, and overall well-being. Through a variety of sports, strength training, and endurance activities, students build coordination, resilience, and teamwork skills in a challenging yet supportive environment. We emphasize the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle, teaching students about fitness principles, injury prevention, and nutrition to develop strong bodies and minds. As part of their high school preparation, students refine their technical skills, strategy, and leadership abilities, gaining the confidence to excel in competitive and recreational sports. With a combination of structured training, team sports, and outdoor education, our program fosters discipline, sportsmanship, and perseverance—ensuring students are ready for the physical and mental demands of high school athletics and lifelong fitness success.
Grade 1-8 ski program
We offer a six-week ski program in the winter at Snow Valley for our Grade 1 and 2 students and Mount St. Louis Moonstone for our Grade 3-8 students. Our Grade 6-8 students also have a two-night overnight ski trip where we stay at Quiet Waters, located only 15 minutes from Mount St. Louis.
Wishing Well Schools offers a range of sports clubs, and all students are encouraged to join a team. As a member of SSAF, our students have the opportunity to compete against other private schools in the area, further enhancing their skills.
