Montessori Casa Program
The Montessori School is a three-year early education program fostering the “absorbent minds” of children ages 2 1/2 to 6 years. Wishing Well Montessori School is proud to be one of the very few schools that have two qualified Montessori Teachers in each classroom. Each classroom is unique in itself while keeping to the Montessori philosophy of guiding a child’s instinctive search for knowledge through a hands-on approach.
In the Montessori classroom children learn to become independent and confident in the world around them. At Wishing Well Montessori School children are encouraged to achieve high academic standings in a caring, nurturing environment. Our goal is not only to help each child reach his/her potential but to develop self-confidence and leadership skills that will prepare them for the challenges of the Elementary Years. In addition we have daily French classes to enrich and enhance our program at Wishing Well Montessori.
Elementary School
The Elementary School is a multicultural, coeducational private school from grades one to eight. Small classes allow the teachers to know all the students and provide ample opportunity for individual attention and concern. The teachers are carefully selected for their knowledge, enthusiasm and dedication in furthering academic growth and skill development in each student.
The school is proud of its high academic standards. A set curriculum is followed for each grade level although students who are strong in certain subjects can move ahead at the direction of the class teacher. Homework is assigned every evening as a follow up to lessons given in class. Tests take place regularly throughout the school year and examinations are held in December and June. Itemized report cards provide both parents and students with accurate progress evaluation.
**Reach Ahead Credits for qualifying students in grade 8.
