Grade 1-5 ACCELERATED JUNIOR PROGRAM
Our Grade 1-5 STEAM & Design Thinking Course at Wishing Well Schools encourages creativity, innovation, and real-world problem-solving through hands-on, cross-curricular exploration. Students engage in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, using a design thinking approach to tackle open-ended challenges. Through engineering builds, creative design projects, and collaborative problem-solving, students develop resilience, adaptability, and critical thinking skills. They learn to identify problems, brainstorm solutions, prototype ideas, and refine their designs through trial and iteration. The arts are fully integrated, encouraging students to use visual thinking, storytelling, and creativity to enhance their projects.

Grade 6-8 high school preparatory program
At Wishing Well Schools, our Grade 6-8 advanced STEAM, Design Thinking, and Project-Based Learning program challenges students to approach learning with innovation, creativity, and real-world problem solving. Students work on interdisciplinary projects that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, applying their knowledge to tackle complex, real-world challenges. Through the Design Thinking process, students learn to empathize, define problems, brainstorm solutions, prototype designs, and test their ideas, enhancing their critical thinking and collaboration skills. At Wishing Well Schools, our annual STEAM Fair provides students in Grades 1-8 with a six-week project-based learning experience. Using the design thinking process from Stanford, students tackle real-world challenges by empathizing, defining problems, brainstorming solutions, prototyping, and testing their ideas.
Throughout the process, students work collaboratively to create innovative projects that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. They develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative skills, applying their knowledge to design and build solutions.
The STEAM Fair culminates in a showcase where students present their projects to the school community, demonstrating their research, design, and presentation skills.
