We are looking forward to welcoming your child to our Montessori program. Prior to your child's first day, we recommend that you read the following information. A more comprehensive outline can be found in our Parent Handbook. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Hobbs for more information.
The First Day
Arrive by 8:45 am
Fill in the online daily screening form
Dress your child in their full school uniform (pack black shoes in the WWS school bag for your child to put on when they arrive) - School bags can be purchased from InSchoolWear or the main office.
Pack indoor running shoes
Provide two full pairs of spare clothing for students in 1st Year and one full pair for 2nd and 3rd year students
1st year students bring a nap bag with pillow and warm blanket for napping
Provide a water bottle with your child's first and last name clearly labelled on it
Do not linger for too long at drop off - remember that it is important for your child to feel that everything is 'okay', and if you appear to be worried or tense they will sense that something is wrong and it may make their first day stressful.
It is important that your child wear a clean, fresh school uniform every day. Items can be purchased from In School Wear. We can also order items for you at the school via credit card. Go to www.inschoolwear.com and select Wishing Well Schools to order items online.

Food and Snacks
All food and snacks will be provided to your child due to CCEYA Licensing. Please ensure that you have informed the office if your child has any allergies.
We have THREE communication systems at school to keep you informed.
1. Text Messaging:: This is a one way text messaging service to inform parents about events, school closures, and quick reminders. Please ensure you sign up for our text messaging service by asking your child's teacher.
2. CLASSTAG: You will receive an invitation to join our classroom message board called "ClassTag". ClassTag is a free app and is used for messages and weekly newsletters to keep you informed of what is specifically happening in your child's classroom. We may also use this for Parent/Teacher interviews this year.
3. HOMEROOM online photo album: This photo album is used to share photos of your child as they learn and grow throughout the school year. This photo album is by invitation only. Download the app for quicker access to photos. You will be invited to join your child's Homeroom Album at the start of the school yea via ClassTag.
Wishing Well Schools is a NUT AWARE SCHOOL
There are children attending this school that have a life threatening allergy to nuts. Please do not send any nuts or products that may contain traces of nuts to school with your child as this could endanger these children’s lives. Thank you for your co-operation. *If your child has a life threatening allergy and requires an epi-pen, please inform the office immediately.*
