At Wishing Well Schools, French instruction begins at age three, allowing students to develop a natural ear for language through songs, stories, and conversation. Daily instruction continues through the elementary and middle years, building fluency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while deepening understanding of Francophone culture and global perspectives.
As students advance, they refine grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills, learning to express ideas with clarity and confidence. Eligible Grade 8 students will earn the Ontario Grade 9 French credit through our partnership with the Ontario Virtual School (OVS), an inspected and ministry-accredited institution, which fulfills the one French credit required for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. This early accomplishment allows students to enter high school with greater academic flexibility and readiness for advanced language and interdisciplinary studies.
