steam and design thinking
At Wishing Well Schools, our STEAM and Design Thinking program blends science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics into a dynamic, hands-on learning experience. Using the Design Thinking process, students learn to identify problems, brainstorm ideas, prototype solutions, and refine their designs through testing and reflection. This approach nurtures creativity, resilience, and critical thinking, encouraging students to approach challenges with curiosity and confidence.
Through engineering builds, creative design projects, and collaborative problem-solving, students learn how innovation connects across disciplines and to the real world. Our annual STEAM Fair extends this learning into a six-week, project-based experience where students apply design thinking to real-world issues—empathizing, creating, and presenting their solutions to the school community.
This integrated approach cultivates adaptable, innovative, and ethical thinkers—ready to lead in a world driven by technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
